Today I’ve got three of the new OPI NYC Ballet Soft Shade polishes to show you!
Each year OPI comes out with a Soft Shade collection, which is made up of very feminine, soft sheer polishes. Last year was the Femme de Cirque and the year before that was the Pink collection.
This year the Soft Shade collection is ballet themed, to fit with the NYC Ballet. I used to be a ballerina, until I turned 14, grew a chest and a butt and my teacher told me I was too big to do ballet anymore. *sigh* Turned out I was more into tap dancing anyway.
ANYWAY. Personal issues aside, here are the polishes!
Care to Danse?
This is three coats with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat to finish. [Excuse the ding on my finger, stupid clumsy me ><]
Care to Danse? is a seriously pale lavender with a tint of pink. As you can see, even at three coats the polish is sheer enough to see my nail line.
Next up is My Pointe Exactly [I love that name].
Again, three coats with a topcoat.
My Pointe Exactly is a sheer grey jelly polish, which is pretty unique. It was a surprise in a fairly pink dominated collection, but I love it.
The last polish I have today is Pirouette My Whistle, a clear based glitter that I used for layering. Here it is, one coat over Care to Danse? and one coat over My Pointe Exactly.
Close up time!
Pirouette My Whistle [am not a fan of this name], is a fine silver glitter with small white hexagon pieces, in a clear base. Perfect for layering.
I think this collection is great, and fits in well with the NYC Ballet. Soft, feminine with a hint of sparkle.
Which are your favourites?
