Happy Tuesday
Here’s the post you’ve all been waiting for, swatches of the China Glaze Eye Candy glitter collection! There are 6 fabulous shades that I’ve got for you today
This whole collection was inspired by Marilyn Monroe and her movies, and although I’m not a huge Marilyn fan, I can see the influence in the glitters
Okay, onto the pictures!
I’ve left all the pictures big so click to enlarge the glittery goodness.
Marry a Millionaire. 4 coats and a coat of Seche Vite.
Marry a Millionaire is my absolute favourite. It’s a gorgeous purple that’s packed with bar glitter. [The China Glaze release says 'Multi-tonal Fibers' which is bar glitter in professional language
] 4 coats makes it opaque even though the photos don’t show that so well. That’s the trouble with macro shots sometimes.
The bar glitter is mostly turquoise/teal as you can see in the bottle shot, but there are some gold/orange pieces in there too. Because of the bar glitter you’ll need a heavier top coat than usual, I used one coat of Seche and I could still feel a fair bit of grittiness underneath.
Lorelei’s Tiara. 4 coats, no top coat.
Lorelei’s Tiara is a silver based glitter that’s packed with bigger pieces of blue glitter. It reminds me of winter, icicles and all, so it seems fitting for a holiday collection.
I was surprised by how much I liked this glitter actually, but after the bar glitter madness of Marry a Millionaire it was refreshing to wear this ice cool polish
Material Girl. 4 coats, no top coat.
Material Girl is a .. not salmon, but not a baby pink. Wow, that was bad describing. Anyway, you can see the colour in the photos. The hex glitter pieces are holographic but they’re fairly sparse which is a shame.
I think I would have preferred a hot pink, but this colour seems fitting for the name of Material Girl.
Blonde Bombshell. 4 coats, no top coat.
Blonde Bombshell is a bright gold that’s worthy of the name Bombshell. It’s packed with micro gold glitter, plus bigger circle pieces of gold, and, I was surprised to see, sprinkled with bar glitter! The effect is much more subtle than Marry a Millionaire but my nails looked like they were encrusted with gold.
Again, gold is generally a good bet for the holidays, and the inclusion of the bar glitter gives Blonde Bombshell an edge over a regular gold glitter.
Some Like It Haute. 5 coats, no top coat.

Some Like It Haute was a bit of a disappointment to me. I saw all of the holographic hex glitter in the bottle and got really excited, but unfortunately the hex glitter gets a bit lost once it’s on the nail. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a gorgeous polish, it’s just not as blingy as I hoped for.
Some Like It Haute is a charcoal grey filled with grey micro glitter and larged holographic hex pieces. This polish didn’t have a jelly base, but it definitely dried a bit ‘squishier’ on me than the others, and maybe that’s why the holographic hex gets a bit lost.
Still a fabulous polish, I think it’s nice and subtle. For a glitter, I mean.
Last but definitely not least, we have Love Marilyn. 5 coats, no top coat.
First off, let me say this. My name is Diana and I don’t like red nail polish.
Except this one.
Love Marilyn is gorgeous. It’s red glitter packed with silver hex. It reminds me a little of the OPI Muppets glitter in a smaller version, actually. This is the brightest glitter out of the collection, which I think fits with the name, considering Marilyn was the inspiration behind the whole collection.
Red is always a good choice for holiday season and the silver hex makes it even more special. I’m definitely going to be wearing this one around Christmas time.
So that’s the whole collection!
My favourites were Marry a Millionare, Love Marilyn and Lorelei’s Tiara, but the other three come a close second.
Which are your favourites?

The product(s) in this post were provided to me by the manufacturer or their PR company for review, the thoughts and opinions are all mine.

The first one is definitely my favourite because I’m craving bar glitter. That looks really special. Thanks for sharing your swatches and giving everyone a first look at these.
This was my first bar glitter and it’s definitely a winner! Thanks
I said it twitter but I’ll say it again, You rocked all of these.
The Red one reminds me so much of the OPI Muppets polish. I love them all on you.
Now I know wich ones I want.
Thank you for the swatches.
Aww you’re so sweet! I’m glad I could help
Yes, Love Marilyn reminds me of the OPI Muppets as well but I think I prefer this one, the smaller glitter is nicer
Onw word: LOVE! I will be stalking this collection!
Definitely! It’s chock full of glitter and fabulousness
These look fabulous Diana! Bar glitter usually doesn’t do it for me but Marry a Millionaire is superb
Isn’t it gorgeous?
The first shade is so pretty, I really need to own more glitter polishes
Everyone always needs more glitter
i think i heard my wallet scream…..
Hahaha I know that feeling!
You did such a good job with your swatches! I’m actually kind of meh about glitter right now but I WILL be getting Marry A Millionaire – and that’s a shocker for me!
Aww thank you! And you WILL NOT regret Marry a Millionaire, it’s amazing
I couldn’t sleep, lol, after seeing these earlie,i came back for another look. The purple one is tops on my list, the silver and grey next. The red is so pretty on you.The only one I wouldn’t wear is the gold, not a good color for me sometimes.
Oh wow, you must really love them! Haha
The purple is definitely a must have, I agree
And yes, gold polish isn’t for everyone, like the pink doesn’t really suit me!
So much sparkly goodness…except the bar glitter one..lol but bar glitter is my nemesis
Haha people seem to either love or hate bar glitter, never ‘sort of’ like it.
