On Friday night I attended my very first blogger meetup, hosted by the fabulous Illamasqua counter in the Brisbane Myer Centre.
We were very spoilt!
The fabulous Christabel spoke briefly about the Toxic Nature collection, but as it has been out for a few months we were all well educated already!
Christabel also told us about some upcoming Illamasqua projects, including a fragrance, new foundation line and the new collection, which Christabel called ‘The raciest one yet!’
Considering Illamasqua’s Valentine Throb collection with Load, Succubus, Throb and other like named products, I’m pretty interested to see what they’ll come up with next!
After that, the very lovely and talented Tiarah showed us a Toxic Nature demonstration.
I got to meet the Brisbane Beauty Blogger girls, who are all lovely! I’m terrible at names and remembering to write things down so I unfortunately don’t have a list of everyone who was there, sorry!
When it was time to go, I was presented with a lovely gift bag! [excuse Yoshi, he's a camerawhore]
My gift bag contained a cream blusher in Lies and a powder eye shadow in Tango, can’t wait to use them!
All in all I had a lovely time and am looking forward to the next meetup [where I promise to try and be less awkward]
Hey everyone! Did you miss me?
Awww. I missed you all too! But not to worry, I’m back now.
So yes, I’m back off my hiatus with a shiny new blog face! Isn’t it pretty? All thanks to my friend 2Cokes, who put up with all my whining and constant mind changing. Thanks 2Cokes, it’s awesome!
Before I went away, I mentioned that the blog had strayed a little from what I wanted it to be. So I’m going to try to change things around a bit now that I’m back. I’ll still talk about nail polish a whole bunch, but I want to have some geek related posts in here too, because that’s important to me.
So I’ve been thinking about this post for a while and now I think it’s time.
I’ve decided to take a break from The Girl With A Bow.
I’ve found myself feeling extremely burnt out and the fun has kind of disappeared from blogging at the moment, especially with the pressure of University on me at the same time.
I would have lost my mind much sooner if the blogging girls hadn’t been here to help me. Special shout out to Kirsten and Kaz, love you girls.
So I’m going to take about a month off and then see how I feel.
I’ll still be on Twitter [I have an addiction] and you can always email me, but the posts will stop for a while until I recharge.
Aw, don’t be sad! Here’s a picture of ducklings swimming in a teacup.
There, you feel better already, right?
