a england Review + Swatches

I’m baaaaaack!

I’m sorry I’ve been away for so long, there’s been a lot going on! Mostly the fact that I started my new full time job and it’s taken me a while to get used to the whole ‘working 8-5′ days thing. But I am really loving my job, and I’m totally getting used to it all now! The only trouble is, because I’m typing all day, my nails are suffering a lot, the poor things.

Today I’ve got 3 a england polishes to share with you. I am absolutely kicking myself that I didn’t buy these sooner, quite frankly.

First up, Dragon from The Legend collection.

This is three super smooth coats, no top coat.

How perfect is the name for this colour? The green definitely reminds me of dragon scales, and the holographic particles give it a hint of magic.

Say hello to Tristam from The Mythicals.

Three coats of gorgeous night blue sky. The holographic particles amongst the deep blue definitely remind me of the starry sky. This one pulls a little purple on me, still totally gorgeous!

Lastly, my utter favourite.

Saint George from The Legend collection.

Three coats of the most gorgeous teal you’ve ever seen, filled with holographic particles for hidden depths.

I actually cried when I put this one on. The colour is so rich and amazing, I couldn’t help myself.

The formula for these polishes are just incredible. Smooth, super pigmented, there’s nothing more you could want.

Must. Buy. All. Of. Them.

An Ode to Green Nail Polish

My name is Diana and I love green. Green clothes, shoes, accessories, household items, anything. But especially green nail polish. I will admit, it took me a little while before I succumbed to the magic of green polish. I was scared, I was shy, I didn’t want to have creepy moldy horror nails. Little did I know how magical green nail polish could be.

So today, I’ve got a selection of my favourite green nail polishes to share with you.

 Illamasqua Smash.

Everyone needs the perfect grass green polish in their collection, and for me, it’s Smash. There’s no yellow undertone that many green polishes have, making it the ideal shade, in my opinion.

China Glaze I’m With the Lifeguard.

Everyone needs a neon green. It’s just a fact of life. So listen up and learn well. Neon green. It’s retina searingly bright. It’ll stop traffic. People will comment on it. People will want to know where to buy it. People will envy you in silence. Have I sold you?

OPI Mermaid Tears.

I find this shade of green to be really flattering. It’s cool toned but leans more to green than blue, making it a little more unusual. It’s soothing and calm, if a polish could be that.

Lynnderella Funny Money [over China Glaze Holly Day].

Green glitter. It’s fabulous. It’s amazing. It’s never going to go out of style. Get it on your nails this instant. Funny Money is packed full of green glitter in different shades, sizes and shapes. Always get tons of compliments when I wear this one.

China Glaze Zombie Zest.

People hate this nail polish. That’s pretty much it. They think it’s gross. Which, of course, is why I love it. It’s a glass flecked murky green that totally reminds me of zombies. I don’t think it’s gross at all, it’s just a really unique shade of polish. Fabulous. Different. Zombies.

China Glaze Watermelon Rind.

Another glass flecked beauty. This polish has a lot of blue in it, but still enough green for it to live happily in the green section of my collection. It reminds me of the ocean and a rainforest at the same time, which is why I love it so much.

a england Saint George.

This is the very first polish that made me cry. I couldn’t cope with how gorgeous it was.

A rich holographic teal that’s super flattering to wear. I couldn’t stop looking at my nails in wonder. One of my absolute favourite polishes. Buy it. Now. Before I buy the rest of the bottles in existence.

Are you a green fanatic as well, or do you wave another coloured polish flag?

Saturday Swatch Party!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Yesterday I got the call offering me a fulltime job I really, really wanted. I’m so excited to start on Monday!

To get back on track, here are eight previously untried polishes that I kicked myself for not trying earlier! Apparently the theme is blue/green/purple :)

Which is your favourite? I love them all, but my favourite this week would have to be Forget You Not.
